Description
The fugue from Book II No. 9 is a grand four-voice work in E major. With around 1,500 notes packed into its structure, it condenses intricately interwoven voice leading and mature contrapuntal technique. As its advanced rating suggests, sustaining independent voices with focus across its considerable length is a real challenge.
