Description
The eleventh prelude of Book I is a bright, lively binary-form miniature in F major. Its theme is stated briefly and then developed with light ornamental touches within a compact span. Being short and concise, it is an approachable intermediate piece for gaining a feel for Bach's stylistic language.
Bach's collection of preludes and fugues for keyboard, covering all 24 keys and regarded as the summit of contrapuntal writing.
