The final prelude of Book I of The Well-Tempered Clavier, closing the collection in a hushed, introspective B minor. Rather than virtuosic display, it builds quiet tension through carefully layered voices leading into the concluding fugue. At an intermediate level, it rewards patient attention to phrasing and voice leading.
