Description
The sixth prelude of Book I has a lyrical, meditative character in D minor. Toccata-like ornamental figures ripple continuously, sustaining a quiet undercurrent of tension throughout. Rated intermediate, it still asks for stamina to keep the decorative figuration smooth and unbroken from start to finish.
