Piano Rhythm Game
Play the pieces in the library as a rhythm game: hit each key as its note reaches the line. Every note you hit sounds on the piano, so a clean run plays the whole piece - and a miss leaves its notes out.

How to play
- Pick a piece, choose 5 keys (easy) or 7 keys (hard), and press Start.
- Press a lane's key as its note crosses the line: D F Space J K on 5 keys, S D F Space J K L on 7. On a phone or tablet, tap the lane itself.
- A note with a bar is a hold: press it as it reaches the line and keep the key down until the bar ends. Letting go early is a MISS.
- Your timing earns PERFECT, GREAT, GOOD or MISS, and the run ends with a score and a rank from S to D. Your best score is kept in this browser.
- Esc or Quit takes you back to the start screen at any point.
About the charts
Each chart is built from the piece's MIDI data. The lanes follow the melody - moving right as it rises and left as it falls - and notes too fast to tap are attached to the note before them, so hitting that note plays them at their own time. Long notes become holds. The level (1 to 12) comes from how fast the notes arrive, on average and over the busiest five seconds: 5-key charts run from about 2 to 6, 7-key charts from 2 to 12.
