Play MIDI files on a piano, right in your browser
Open a .mid or .midi file and hear it on a grand piano while the notes fall onto an 88-key keyboard. Everything runs in your browser: there is nothing to install, and your file never leaves your device.
How it works
- Choose a MIDI file with the button above, or drag and drop it there.
- Press play: the notes fall onto the keyboard as the piano plays them.
- Slow down the fast passages and repeat a section with the A-B loop.
What this MIDI player does
- Falling notes - See which key to press and when, as the notes fall towards the keyboard.
- Speed from 0.25x to 2x - Slowing down does not change the pitch.
- A-B loop - Play one section over and over.
- Hand colours and pedal marks - Each track has its own colour, and the pedal is shown as it goes down and up.
- Practise with a MIDI keyboard - In a browser with Web MIDI (such as Chrome or Edge), practice mode waits until you press the right keys.
