Description
A piano arrangement of the song "To Be Sung on the Water," set to a poem by Friedrich Leopold zu Stolberg. Continuously rippling arpeggios depict shimmering water beneath a flowing melodic line. Running under three minutes yet containing an extremely dense roughly 2,842 notes, it demands the technique to keep the fine arpeggios even while still bringing the melody to the surface; reflecting the poem's meditation on the passage of time, it calls for delicate control of tone from advanced pianists.
