Description
The third of the Four Impromptus D.935 (Op. 142), a set of variations on a theme also used in the incidental music to "Rosamunde." The graceful B-flat major theme passes through five variations of changing character, including some technically demanding passages later on. Its length calls for a pianist able to shift expressive color convincingly.
