Titled "Antiphons for Palm Sunday," this set of six short pieces has religious origins, likely composed around 1820 from melodies connected to church music. With a duration of about a minute and a half and only 171 notes, it is compact enough for beginning pianists to approach. Franz Schubert (1797-1828)
Franz Schubert was a Vienna-born composer who died at only 31 but left behind a vast body of work, especially in the field of Lieder.
