Description
The finale of Sonata No. 20 centers on an elegant theme in minuet tempo, supported throughout by a dance-like triple meter. Beethoven later reused this same theme in a movement of his Septet, Op. 20, and its approachable, singable melody remains one of the movement's main attractions. At under three minutes, it is often used to build a feel for dance rhythm in triple meter.
