Description
The first movement of Sonata No. 20, the second of Beethoven's 'easy sonatas', presents a bright G major sound world with elegant melody and accompaniment in balanced proportion, offering a straightforward feel for Classical sonata form. Its character is gentler and more approachable than that of Sonata No. 19, making it well suited to those new to the genre, with a comfortable duration of about three and a half minutes.
