Written around 1913, during the period when Satie produced a string of eccentrically titled piano pieces, the score often carries wry prose commentary not meant to be spoken aloud. That same light, narrative wit carries into the music itself, in a roughly six-minute piece at intermediate difficulty.

Erik Satie (1866-1925)
Erik Satie was a French composer from Honfleur who worked in Montmartre's cabarets while pursuing a highly individual musical aesthetic. Known for spare, understated music and whimsically titled works, he later influenced minimalist and ambient music.
