Description
Among the three Gymnopédies, No. 2 has the most melancholic character. Within the same slow triple-meter framework as No. 1, it uses darker, more introspective harmonies, evoking a deep, pensive mood. The tempo is gentle, but it requires a sensitive ear for the space between notes.
A broad collection of standalone piano pieces not belonging to any specific set, offering hundreds of varied character pieces to explore and compare.
