Description
Another piece from the same suite, its title puns on Chabrier's orchestral showpiece "España." Borrowing the shape of a Spanish-style dance, Satie exaggerates its rhythms and harmonies to gently mock the exoticism fashionable at the time. Despite its brevity, it is busy with notes and calls for quick, precise fingerwork.
A broad collection of standalone piano pieces not belonging to any specific set, offering hundreds of varied character pieces to explore and compare.
