Description
This is the sixth and final partita from Bach's Clavier-Übung I, the most expansive and technically demanding of the set. It opens with an improvisatory Toccata and closes with a chromatic, fugal Gigue. Its dense counterpoint and large scale make it one of the most challenging Baroque keyboard works in this collection.
Suite-form works from the Baroque era; Bach's Partitas, a sequence of varied dances, are ranked among the greatest keyboard works.

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)
