Description
K.184 in F minor is thought to pair with the following K.185, and takes the more technically demanding role in that set, with continuous rapid figuration. Leaps and repeated notes appear throughout while the minor-mode tension is maintained, requiring nimble fingerwork. Its contrast with its companion K.185 is especially striking.

Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757)
Domenico Scarlatti was born in Naples and spent the latter part of his life at the Spanish and Portuguese courts. Born in the same year as Bach and Handel, he is renowned for his 555 single-movement keyboard sonatas, notable for their bold leaps and incorporation of Spanish dance idioms.
