Description
K.141 in D minor is among the most densely written sonatas in this collection, with relentless repeated notes and rapid scales testing the agility of both hands. It is known as one of Scarlatti's more overtly virtuosic pieces, its Spanish-flavored rhythms adding to its brilliance. Few of his sonatas pack as much motion into a comparable span.
Sonatas across a range of instrumentations, including piano parts from violin sonatas, spanning Classical to Romantic styles.
