Description
K.291 is an E minor sonata with a relatively low note count and a measured tempo, making it approachable for intermediate players. Rather than technical speed, it calls for a careful shaping of the quiet tension characteristic of the minor mode. It offers a good introduction to the more restrained side of Scarlatti's sonatas.
Sonatas across a range of instrumentations, including piano parts from violin sonatas, spanning Classical to Romantic styles.
