Description
K.439 in B-flat major shares its key with the adjacent K.440, suggesting the paired construction Scarlatti often favored. Ornamental figuration is woven into a comparatively measured pace, giving the single movement a rich sense of contrast. Since it does not demand extreme speed, shaping the phrases expressively becomes the real challenge.
Sonatas across a range of instrumentations, including piano parts from violin sonatas, spanning Classical to Romantic styles.
