Description
This is the largest of the early sonatas, notable for its variation-form finale. The whole work runs nearly twenty-four minutes, and its more than 17,000 notes make it exceptionally dense compared to its companion sonatas. The finale's variations each take on a distinct character, offering plenty of technical showcases, making this a substantial, advanced work that tests both stamina and expressive range.
