Description
Written in F major, this sonata retains the shape of a fully formed movement, unlike some of Mozart's more fragmentary sketches. Flowing melodic lines combine with a steady accompaniment pattern to create a classically balanced texture. At around seven and a half minutes with over 4,600 notes, it calls for natural, breathing phrasing in the melody alongside an even touch in the accompaniment.
