Description
No. 6 moves to B major, a key with five sharps. Its brisk character, 463 notes over 42 seconds, helps the fingers and ear adjust to heavily sharped keys while practicing rhythmic playing. It also trains the hand to shift feel as the key signatures accumulate.
A set of melodious studies by Czerny covering all 24 keys, valued as a way to develop technique and musicality at the same time.
