Description
A stately Polonaise from Bach's French Suite No. 6. Of Polish origin, the Polonaise is a triple-meter dance marked by bold, dotted rhythms and a dignified gait. It is a relatively unusual dance type to find within the French Suites, giving this movement a weightier character than its companions.
