The concluding movement of Bach's French Suite No. 6. The Gigue is a dance built on bouncing, dotted rhythms, and here it is treated fugally, with the hands chasing the same subject back and forth. Densely written and technically demanding in places, it brings the suite to a brilliant, energetic close.
