Description
This light, graceful Gavotte comes from Bach's French Suite No. 5. Its characteristic half-bar upbeat gives it an approachable feel, and it is known as one of the more melodic, singable movements among the French-style dances. Intermediate in level with a relatively low note density for its length, it allows the performer to focus on singing out the melody while carefully shaping the gavotte's distinctive metrical feel.
