La Traviata - N4 Streta dell'introduzione

Giuseppe Verdi

DifficultyIntermediate
Duration4:48
Notes1,403

Description

This is the stretta that concludes the introduction to Act I of Verdi's La Traviata. It builds momentum through an accelerating tempo to capture the excitement of the Parisian ball. Though the original is a grand orchestral and choral scene, the piano transcription brings the harmonic motion and melodic lines into sharper focus. Playable at an intermediate level, it offers good practice in sustaining rhythmic drive while building toward a climax.

A broad collection of standalone piano pieces not belonging to any specific set, offering hundreds of varied character pieces to explore and compare.
