Description
Bach's Three-Part Sinfonia No.12 in A major, written in 1723, packs his characteristic three-voice counterpoint into a piece lasting barely 79 seconds. It was conceived partly as a study in independent voice-leading at the keyboard. With 779 notes, its brisk, buoyant character reflects the bright quality of the key, making it a rewarding advanced-level miniature.
