Description
This is one of Bach's fifteen three-part Sinfonias, originally compiled as keyboard studies for his son Wilhelm Friedemann. In D major, the piece passes its bright subject equally among three independent voices, reflecting the pedagogical intent behind the whole collection. Packed with 665 notes in just 86 seconds, it offers intermediate players a dense study in contrapuntal interplay.
