Description
Bach's Three-Part Sinfonia No.2 in C minor, written in 1723, has a taut, urgent character built from a short motif passed between the three voices. At 115 seconds and 880 notes, it runs slightly longer than many of its companions, giving listeners more room to trace the intricate interplay of the contrapuntal lines that define Bach's pedagogical intent for these advanced-level pieces.
