Description
Inspired by Johannes Kreisler, the eccentric fictional conductor from E.T.A. Hoffmann's stories, this eight-movement work was dedicated to Chopin. Turbulent, stormy movements alternate with dreamlike ones, making it one of the clearest expressions of Schumann's dual musical personality. Wide dynamic contrasts and intense concentration are required to bring off this demanding masterwork.
A broad collection of standalone piano pieces not belonging to any specific set, offering hundreds of varied character pieces to explore and compare.
