Description
The eighth prelude, in F-sharp minor, keeps the right hand in constant, ornamental motion while the left hand shifts in unsettled rhythms beneath it. Among the densest of the 24 Preludes in terms of note count, it sustains intense passion and tension for its roughly minute-and-a-half duration.

Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)

He poured his longing for his homeland into mazurkas and polonaises, while his ballades and etudes combine poetic melody with harmonic innovation.
