Description
This is one of the briefest pieces in the 24 Preludes, lasting only a matter of seconds. A rapid descending figure in the right hand flashes by and vanishes almost as soon as it begins. It is usually taken at a swift tempo and calls for a light, gliding touch across the keyboard.

About the Composer
Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)
Frederic Chopin was born in Poland and made his career in Paris, remaining unusual among great composers for writing almost exclusively for piano. He poured his longing for his homeland into mazurkas and polonaises, while his ballades and etudes combine poetic melody with harmonic innovation.
