Description
The twenty-fourth and final prelude, in D minor, closes the set of 24 with fitting scale and power, its passionate right-hand melody riding above turbulent left-hand passages. Three forceful low D's near the end bring the entire roughly two-minute cycle to a weighty close.

Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)
