Description
The first variation following the theme. Light sixteenth-note figuration is added in the right hand, dressing up the plain theme with ornamentation, while the left hand largely retains the theme's rhythm. It is a good exercise for playing smooth, even passagework in the right hand.
Mozart's most famous piano sonata, consisting of a theme-and-variations first movement, a minuet, and the celebrated "Turkish March."
