Description
The theme that opens the first movement of Piano Sonata No. 11. Set in a gentle 6/8 Siciliano rhythm, it presents a graceful melody that serves as the starting point for six following variations. At about two minutes, it is a good piece for beginners to practice singing a simple melodic line.
Mozart's most famous piano sonata, consisting of a theme-and-variations first movement, a minuet, and the celebrated "Turkish March."
