Description
The second movement of Piano Sonata No. 11, a menuetto and trio in classical dance rhythm with an elegant melodic character. It provides a calm contrast between the variation-form first movement and the famous Turkish March finale. At roughly five and a half minutes, it calls for a steady sense of pulse and metrical weight.
