Description
No. 36 from Op. 337 aims at maintaining finger technique over a longer stretch, running 56 seconds with 829 notes. Its settled tempo gives room to carefully check that no excess tension creeps into the hand. With the 40-piece set nearing its end, maintaining calm, controlled fingerwork becomes an even greater test of stamina. Intermediate in level, it also builds a bit of endurance for sustaining a slower tempo.
Forty intermediate-level daily studies by Czerny, suited for everyday practice of a variety of techniques.
