Description
Dating from 1818, this is a small waltz in G major. At around a minute long with fewer than four hundred notes, it is very brief, yet its light melodic movement over a triple-time rhythm is crisply drawn. Despite its short length, precise rhythm and clean voicing are required, placing it among the pieces suited to advanced players. Its tightly wound structure leaves no room for a slack tempo, laying bare the performer's technical control.

Franz Schubert (1797-1828)
Franz Schubert was a Vienna-born composer who died at only 31 but left behind a vast body of work, especially in the field of Lieder.
