Description
This set of six German Dances is thought to date from around 1824, presenting a succession of triple-time dances each with a distinct character. The full set runs about five and a half minutes and contains over four thousand notes, requiring the performer to differentiate each dance's mood while keeping a steady dance tempo throughout.

Franz Schubert (1797-1828)
Franz Schubert was a Vienna-born composer who died at only 31 but left behind a vast body of work, especially in the field of Lieder.
