Description
No.14 is an extended study at 95 seconds and 1,973 notes, testing both stamina and sustained focus. It reflects a broader trend in the set where pieces tend to grow in scale as the sequence progresses. Working through it helps build the ability to carry fast passagework through to the very end without losing control.
Forty studies by Czerny that build the technique for fast passagework, developing finger independence and agility.
