Description
No.28 is brief yet dense, fitting 1,054 notes into 42 seconds, which works out to over 25 notes per second. It calls for bursts of intense concentration and quick shifts between fingers. Its brevity also makes it good training for staying fully engaged from start to finish without letting focus slip.
Forty studies by Czerny that build the technique for fast passagework, developing finger independence and agility.
