Description

This Sonatina from Handel's Aylesford Pieces is a small-scale work built from several contrasting sections in a classically balanced form. Different figurations alternate throughout its roughly two-and-a-half-minute span, which contains over a thousand notes. It suits intermediate players developing the ability to shift touch and dynamics between sections.

A collection of keyboard suites by Handel built mainly around dance movements such as allemandes and gavottes, with lively ornamented melodies and Baroque contrapuntal writing. It suits intermediate-to-advanced players who want to explore Baroque stylistic performance.
