Description

Menuet II serves as the trio paired with Menuet I, offering a somewhat calmer contrast to its companion. At about a minute long, it contains more notes than the first minuet and rewards attention to the shift in character when the two are performed in sequence. It works well as a bridge piece between beginner and intermediate levels.

A collection of keyboard suites by Handel built mainly around dance movements such as allemandes and gavottes, with lively ornamented melodies and Baroque contrapuntal writing. It suits intermediate-to-advanced players who want to explore Baroque stylistic performance.
