Description
Originally published as 'Concert sans orchestre' (Concerto without Orchestra), this work was later revised with a restored movement and reissued as Piano Sonata No.3. Set in a weighty F minor, it combines concerto-like scale with tight sonata construction. At roughly half an hour in length, it demands considerable stamina and sustained concentration.

Robert Schumann (1810-1856)
