Description
This D minor Minuet is one of the briefest in Handel's set of similarly titled pieces, running under a minute with a modest note count. Its simple melody-and-accompaniment texture still carries the subdued color typical of the minor mode in each chord. It makes a gentle, compact way for learners to internalize the minuet's basic triple-meter feel.
The minuet, an elegant triple-time dance popular in the Baroque era, evoking the refined atmosphere of a courtly ball.
