Description
Étude Op.25 No.1 in A-flat major earned the nickname Aeolian Harp from Schumann. Continuous arpeggios flow between both hands, with a melody gently emerging from within the texture. Sustaining its dreamlike, harp-like sound requires supple finger motion and careful attention to how each note connects to the next.

Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)
Frederic Chopin was born in Poland and made his career in Paris, remaining unusual among great composers for writing almost exclusively for piano. He poured his longing for his homeland into mazurkas and polonaises, while his ballades and etudes combine poetic melody with harmonic innovation.
