Description
This is the first of the 24 Preludes, Op.11. The set is often said to have been conceived with Chopin's own 24 Preludes in mind, and this opening piece shows that lyrical influence. At the same time, subtle touches of Scriabin's own harmonic color already emerge, offering a glimpse of his budding individuality in just forty seconds.

Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915)
Alexander Scriabin was a Russian composer and pianist from Moscow known for developing a highly personal musical world tied to mystical philosophy. His early works show the lyrical influence of Chopin, but he gradually moved away from traditional tonality toward his own distinctive harmonic system.
