Description
This is an early étude written by Scriabin in his mid-teens. Its lyrical melody strongly reflects the influence of Chopin's style, offering a straightforward, beautiful sound quite different from his later mystical harmonic language. With over 1,100 notes in just over two minutes, it requires both a singing melodic line and evenly articulated passagework.

Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915)
Alexander Scriabin was a Russian composer and pianist from Moscow known for developing a highly personal musical world tied to mystical philosophy. His early works show the lyrical influence of Chopin, but he gradually moved away from traditional tonality toward his own distinctive harmonic system.
