Composed in 1774, this is one of Mozart's earliest sonatas for piano four hands, written for the domestic duet music-making popular at the time. It features the youthful, flowing melodies and light rhythmic charm typical of the young Mozart, and remains a beloved example of Classical four-hand repertoire.
