Description
Composed in Vienna in 1781, this sonata for two pianos was written by Mozart to perform together with his pupil. Its bright D major sonority and the equal, interweaving dialogue between the two keyboards make it one of his most celebrated works for two pianos. The piece maintains the balanced, elegant structure characteristic of the Classical style throughout.
